TUSKA 2020 WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO CORONA VIRUS SAFETY MEASURES
Tuska 2020 will be cancelled based on the orders from the Finnish government, to prevent the spreading of the corona virus.
The Finnish authorities have yesterday on 22.4.2020 issued a statement, which forbids all events larger than 500 people in Finland until the end of July to minimize the impact of the Covid-19 virus. Therefore Tuska 2020 that was to take place during June 26-28 must also be cancelled.
“The situation is extremely unfortunate and we never thought that we’d have to say these words, but we have no other choice than to cancel Tuska 2020. The health of the people always takes top priority and we want to do our part in fighting the virus. There will always be next summer and together we need to make sure we get there with as little damage as possible. Collectively, we need to take care of each other now, do as the authorities instruct us and set our sights to the future. We will see you all at Tuska 2021.” – Festival Director Eeka Mäkynen
Announcement regarding Tuska 2021 will be made shortly.
”Plans regarding artists for Tuska 2021 have already been underway for a while now. We are looking at which 2020 Artists can be moved to next summer. We’re aiming to tell more about the 2021 line-up during the autumn.” reflects pPromoter Jouni Markkanen.
Purchased tickets for Tuska 2020 will be refunded at the place of purchase or you can keep your ticket and carry it over to next year. The best way to support Tuska is to keep your festival ticket for 2021.
